Jonesville man turned himself in to police

A Jonesville man was indicted for allegedly running a red light and killing a Kingsport woman back on September 21, 2013.

Jeremy Strugill, 36, of Jonesville, turned himself in on Monday, June 2nd, at the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office.  He was charges with vehicular homicide by an intoxicated person, two counts of reckless aggravated assault, a second offense of DUI and felony reckless endangerment.

Sturgill ran through a red light and struck Melissa A. Lambert, 41. which cause other cars to be hit during the wreck. Lambert was transported by EMS to Holston Valley Medical Center and died as a result of injuries.

Sturgill posted a $100,000 bond and was released.
