IDA Contracts with Commercial Real Estate Firm to Market Shell Building

The Industrial Development Authority of Lee County (IDA) announced today (July 28, 2016) that it has entered into a contractual agreement with Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (NGKF) to market the industrial shell building at Constitutional Oaks Industrial Park. NGKF is one of the world’s leading commercial real estate advisory firms with more than 370 worldwide offices. NGKF will assist the IDA in managing the property and creating a strategic plan to bring potential industrial buyers or tenants to Lee County. “We are excited to have Newmark Grubb Knight Frank on our team as we continue to aggressively market our shell building,” stated Michael James, IDA Director. “We want to thank the Virginia Coalfield Economic Development Authority for their assistance in making this contractual relationship happen.”

“We are excited to be working with the IDA of Lee County on this project. Our team has decades of experience in helping manufacturing and commercial operations locate in smaller markets,” stated Jim Belcher, Executive Managing Director at NGKF.

About the Industrial Development Authority of Lee County: The mission of the IDA of Lee County is to promote and facilitate economic growth and development in Lee County by recruiting manufacturing, industrial and commercial enterprises to locate or remain in Lee County, promote entrepreneurism and to enhance the economic well being of the citizens of Lee County. Michael James has been Director of the Authority since May, 2011.
