The Lee County Hospital Authority will meet today at 4 p.m. at the Pennington Gap Community Center to discuss the Authority’s decision to file for federal assistance for funding of a proposed $10,000,000. The capital is required to purchase equipment and provide operational funds for the reopening of the former Lee Regional Medical Center.
The public is welcome to submit comments and questions on the proposed matters and copies of the meeting agenda are available for review at the Treasurer’s Office of the Authority located on Rogers Street in Pennington Gap.
The Hospital Authority met last week and passed a resolution to proceed with a DBA application to operate under the assumed name “Lee Urgent Care”. Recruitment will begin for two urgent care physicians with a potential start date of October 1 and a team will be established by October or November.
