Generals Youth Football Go Fund Me for Canton Trip

In Pennington Gap, Alan Rutherford, team President is extremely proud of how far the Generals Youth Football players have come. Having lost only once during the regular season; the Generals accepted an invitation to Richmond, Virginia to take part in the Pro Football Mid-Atlantic Youth Football Championship, which they won.
Even though undersized, the Generals are on their way to Canton, Ohio and their next hurdle is funding for the trip. According to Coach Brian Pendergraft, it’ll cost roughly $7,500 for hotel accommodations just for the players, family and coaches.
Acknowledging the financial struggle for a lot of people involved, Pendergraft added that there is a Go Fund Me page on Facebook for businesses, people and organizations to donate. Adding the funds needed are to cover just the hotel expense, not food and gas, so anything they can raise through their Go Fund Me page is greatly appreciated and welcome.
The excited team has had a winning season already and everything else is a bonus. Their first game in Canton, Ohio is scheduled for December 13th. The Generals Youth Football won the district invitation championship and they are the regional champions representing five states in the 10u division.
At the time of this recording they had raised less than $2,000 of their $7,500 goal. Still time for interested individuals to donate and be a part of this once in a lifetime opportunity to support our youth.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame World Youth Championship in Canton, Ohio is hosting 14 regional qualifiers with the top teams going on to World Championship at Johnson Controls Hall of Fame Village. CBS Sports Network will be televising or streaming each of the championship games.
