From the Edge Headlines Free Concert Today

From the Edge will headline our first free concert at Leeman Field today. With all the changes to the COVID-19 restrictions on events, the Town of Pennington Gap is proud to hold its first outdoor concert in many months. Local performer Katie Bledsoe will take the stage to start the nights events at 6pm. From the Edge, a band who describes themselves as rock and roll with a taste of twisted country will perform at 7. From the Edge has around 300 songs in their repertoire, with songs from Journey, Fleetwod Mac and 80’s hair bands along with Little Big Town, Chris Stapleton and other great hits.
The key to making this a great event for everyone is to cooperate with the social distance guidelines to ensure more great events can follow. The town is working with the Health Department to adhere to the guidelines concerning a large outdoor gathering to ensure everyone can feel comfortable in the setting as well as stay safe. Everyone is encouraged to bring their masks along with a lawn chair as having bleachers in place does not meet the current requirements.
In addition to the great music on the stage, there will be food vendors in place along with the beer garden. It promises to be a fun night so bring your chair, mask and friends to enjoy the free concert to kick off the schedule of summer events.
