After the several inches of snow and rain the past two days Lee County is under a flood watch until 10 a.m. today.
Runoff from moderate to locally heavy rainfall on top of a frozen ground will cause flooding of poor drainage and low-lying areas…particularly in
areas that will have a melting sleet or snow pack. A Flood Watch means that conditions are favorable for heavy rain…which may lead to flooding.
Keep an eye out for rising water or water over roadways. If you come to a closed or flooded Road…turn around! Don't drown!
