A man from Harlan was arrested after he allegedly ran from police.
Jimmy Caudill, 48 has multiple charges and while officers attempted to pull Caudill over, he nearly striked a police cruiser.
KSP Trooper Rodney Sturgill arrested Caudill on Thursday.
Caudill ignored the officers and continued to run from them, until Caudill got to his house, where officers later found this residence and arrested him
Caudill was found to be under the influence.
Caudill refused all intoxication tests, telling police he would not submit to any tests. Caudill was read implied consent at Harlan ARH Hospital and submitted to blood and urine tests. He refused to contact an attorney. Police found an open container of Bud Light in the vehicle. Results of blood and urine tests are pending.
Caudill was charged with possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, failure to wear a seat belt, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, first-degree fleeing or evading police, operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license and first-degree wanton endangerment (police officer).
Caudill is held at Harlan County Detention Center on a $10,000 full cash bond.
