Families First Coronavirus Response Act of 2020 EBT Cards

Thru the Families First Coronavirus Response Act of 2020, the FFCRA, all students enrolled in Lee County Public School should receive a $370 EBT card sometime in the next few weeks. These are a one time P-EBT benefits, which have been calculated at the rate of $5.70 per day per child for the sixty five days remaining in the school year that Virginia schools will remain closed.
These cards are being mailed directly to households and began on May 8th, 2020 using the addresses listed in the Lee County Public School Information System.
Approximately half a million students across the Commonwealth will receive these cards. The Lee County drive thru meal program will not be impacted by this additional help and meals will contine to be served at Jonesville Middle School, Pennington Gap Middle School and Rosehill Elementary School. Serving times will be from 11:30am-2:00pm each day that school was scheduled to be in session.
If you haven’t received yours yet, please contact your child’s school during the hours of 8:00am-12:00pm Monday thru Thursday, as Lee County Public Schools are not open on Fridays currently, in order to verify your mailing address on file is accurate.
