The former town manager of Coeburn is going to jail for eight months of a 15 year sentence for embezzling 25 thousand dollars from a municipal recreational facility. Loretta Mays pleaded guilty to forging signatures of the Lay’s Hardware board members onto checks. Lay’s is an historic building that has been turned into a music and tourism venue and recreation center.
