The Democratic Primary Election early voting begins today at the General Registrar’s Office in Jonesville and runs June the 5th. Any qualified registered Lee County voter can vote early in the Registrar’s Office, open Monday thru Friday from 8:30am until 4:30pm. It will also be open on Saturday May 29th along with Saturday June the 5 from 9a until 5p for those not able to early vote during normal business hours. You may also mail in an application to receive an absentee ballot. Absentee ballots are available online at vote.elections.virginia.gov or you can request one from the Registrar’s Office. The deadline to turn in your absentee ballot is May 28th at 5pm, the absentee in person deadline is June 5th at 5pm and the Election Day is June the 8th with polls open from 6am until 7pm A drop box will be available at the registrar’s office for your early voting ballots.
