Daylight savings begins Sunday

Spring does not officially start until March 20, but the days are already getting longer. Daylight savings will begin this Sunday, March 13. The time change officially takes place at 2 a.m., so change your microwave and old-school clocks before you head to bed Saturday night. The change is automatic for most smartphones, computers, tablets and other digital devices.

The sun will set at 7:38 p.m. on Sunday.

Temperatures are expected to stay in the 70s through the middle of next week, but rain could possibly put a damper on any weekend plans.
