Virginia State Police are investigating a crash that killed a Dryden man on Friday.
Police say a 1998 Harley-Davidson XL883 was traveling east on Route 621 when the driver lost control and crossed the center line. The motorcycle collided with a westbound 2003 Dodge Neon. The impact caused the Neon to run off the right side of the road, go down an embankment and strike a fence.
The motorcyclist, Jerry L. Pearson Jr., 60, of Dryden, Va., died at the scene. He was wearing a helmet.
The driver of the Neon, James H. Clouse III, 26, of Jonesville, Va., was not injured, and was wearing a seat belt.
The crash is still under investigation.
