Concealed Carry Permit April 14th

Dickenson County Sheriff’s Office will provide a Concealed Carry Permit class for citizens on Saturday morning  April 14th at 9am in the training room of the Dickenson County Sheriff’s Office (the former Courthouse). There is a $25.00 donation fee per person for the class which will be donated to a nine year old boy from Dickenson County that is currently battling cancer.
Dalton Gilbert started his battle against cancer on October 2nd, 2015 and is receiving chemotherapy treatments to help fight against the disease. All funds donated to the family will help with expenses needed to battle. Donations are gladly accepted and if you would like to donate more than $25.00 that is also much appreciated.
When you register for the event you can print your ticket off from the website and take it with you the morning of the class. Participants will need to take a hand gun, ID, and 150 rounds of ammunition. Firearms are to be secured during the first part of the class and in the second part participants will be using the firearms on the firing range at a location close to the Sheriff’s Office.
Interested individuals or anyone with questions may contact Major Scott Stanley or Lieutenant Wes Mullins at 276-926-1600.
