The Lee County Extension Office will hold two resource sharing meetings next week. Community leaders from the private and public sectors are welcome to attend to learn about various services offered throughout the community. Meetings will be held at the Pennington Gap Community Center from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16. Individuals need only attend one meeting. Community leaders are encouraged to share information on the services or assistance they offer to county residents and what they feel is still needed. This meeting is intended to share information about on-going projects and resources available to the residents of the county, to ensure that resources are being used in a beneficial and efficient manner, and to develop a Community Resource Guide for future reference to services available.
All citizens are welcome and those with knowledge or expertise they wish to use to benefit the citizens of Lee County are encouraged to share information. These may include social services, churches, elected officials, health services, law enforcement, fire and rescue, schools, news media, financial consultants, business owners, civic and youth groups, or non-profit organizations.
