Coal Miner Injured in Southwest Virginia

Coal miner injured in underground accident at the D-7 Osaka Mine in southwest Virginia that’s owned by Revelation Energy. According to the Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy report, that stated the miner was operating a continuous miner when it struck an underground wall which caused a boulder, thirty inches in diameter to dislodge and fall between the roof and the wall of the mine. As it fell, the rock grazed the miner’s neck and legs. The unnamed miner was treated for injuries and released.
