The Scott County Extension Office, Extension Leadership Council, and Master Gardeners in cooperation with Natural Tunnel State Park will be hosting the first annual Clinch River Food Festival on September 4th from 2-8 p.m. with a Celebrate Local! dinner following at 7:00. Local farmers and vendors will be on site from 2-6 p.m. with local products. The second annual tomato tasting will be held at 3:30, and highlights over 15 varieties of heirloom tomatoes.
A dinner highlighting local products including lamb, poultry, and vegetables will be held at 7 p.m. at a cost of $25 per plate. Dinner reservations are required, and can be made by contacting the Scott County Extension Office at 276-452-2772 before 5 p.m on August 31st.
