Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors held their monthly meeting on Tuesday, February 17. 

The Board passed a motion to extend the line of credit by $50,000 for a loan to the Lee County Industrial Development Authority (IDA) to the Tobacco Commission as a payment.

E-911 director, Alan Bailey reported that total number of calls 4,817 with 474 being 911 calls and 337 wireless 911 calls.

911 is working on a texting 911 feature and the Southwest Virginia Group Standard Committee is gathering ideas to advertise.

The Board accepted a low bid for the delivery and purchase of 16 new 8 cubic yeard front load stant top dumpsters.

Municipal Equipment, Inc. of Louisville, KY won the bid with $13, 936.
