The Scott County Sheriff's Office and Southwest Virginia Drug Task Force executed a search warrant in the Blackwater area on March 21. According to information provided by the SCSO, officers found an active meth lab along with all the precursors used to manufacture meth. Police also discovered a 33-plant marijuana indoor grow site and a quarter-pound of marijuana packaged for resale.
