Assault Call Ends In Drug Arrest

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office was alerted to an assault call and dispatched to Lambert Hollow on Lower Wallen’s Creek. Upon arrival, the responding officers located a woman standing on her from porch, who stated there had been no type of assault. The woman, identified as Melanie Ann Bostic, appeared to the officers as being under the influence of narcotics and questioned her. She admitted to the officers that her husband, Scottie Sam Bostic, Jr., had injected her with Heroine and was located inside the residence. Once the officers were allowed inside, the officers found Mr. Bostic, appearing to also be under the influence, along with digital scales, drug paraphernalia and approximately 66 grams of cocaine.

Mr. Bostic, age 48 of 316 Lambert Hollow Road, Duffield, was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia and being held in the Duffield Jail with no bond. Melanie Ann Bostic, no age given, of the same address is also being held at the Duffield Jail on a $1500 secured bond; charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of Meth, Possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication. Officers on the scene were Captain Taylor Scott, Lt. Todd Jones, Lt. Chris Dillman, Sgt Chad Rouse, Deputy Jeff Smith along with Virginia State Police Trooper Robbie Giles.
