Appalachian Regional Commission Awards Grant Money

The Appalachian Regional Commission recently gave three southwest Virginia organizations more than $2,000,000 in grant funding. With Appalachian Sustainable Development awarded $1.200,000, People’s Incorporated Financial Services receiving more than $486,000 and Friends of Southwest Virginia collecting $100,000 as part of a multi-state endeavor to boost both cultural and natural assets, through their partnership in the region to generate economic development.
