Animal Shelter caught fire

The Scott County Animal Shelter caught fire on Wednesday morning, December 3.

Firefighters arrived to the building engulfed in flames with 13 dogs still inside. Public Works employees and fireman were able to save all 13 dogs and did not appear to be harmed.

The building and truck was destroyed and state police are investigating tht case of the fire.

All of the dogs are in veterinary offices in Scott County until more permanent arrangements can be made. All 13 are adoptable.
