4th of July Celebration Information

Fourth of July activities this year in Jonesville will include a pancake breakfast at the American Legion Building at 8 a.m. 

The Stars and Stripes Charity 5K will also begin at 8 a.m. A portion of the proceeds will go to Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). You can register online at https://www.jonesvillevirginia.com or in the day of the event. Cost is $25 per person.

A basketball tournament will start at 9 a.m. followed by a softball tournament at 10 a.m. 

Other activities will include a cornhole tournament, fingerprinting, a bounce house and water slide, and the Jonesville Volunteer Fire Department will set up a truck for show and tell.

Fireworks will conclude the day at 10 p.m.


Pennington Gap will hold their 4th of July celebration on Saturday July 1st. Activities will include a co-ed basketball tournament, tennis tournament, soccer contest, tractor show and tractor pull, volleyball tournament, fingerprinting, and music throughout the day. 

Fireworks will start at 10 p.m. A special night ride for ATVs on Stone Mountain Trail will offer a better view of the fireworks.

The town will hold a movie in the park featuring The Lego Batman Movie the night before, Friday, beginning at dark.
