2021 Lee County Fair – Sept 14-19

The Lee County Fair will open its doors this week, from September 14th running through September 18, and anyone wanting to submit items for the Exhibit Barns, they will receive submissions on Sunday from noon until 6pm.  There are many categories receiving items from farm crops and horticulture to hand crafts, canned goods, art, photography and needlework.  There are some new exciting areas to showcase skills with Burchett Farms sponsoring a Mr. Potato Head contest, Rock Painting Contest, Lee County 4-h sponsoring a table setting contest and even a Giant Zucchini contest. 

The Lee County Fair Scholarship Pageant will be held on Tuesday starting at 5 for the wee divisions and end by crowing the 2021 Lee County Fair Queen.  This year the Pennington Gap Woman’s Club is sponsoring a scholarship of $1,000.00 to the winner with other scholarships awarded to 2nd through 4th runner ups. 

Just a few of the fun events scheduled for the week is Wednesday is free night, Thursday is Gospel night along with the Lee County 4-H Pet Show which also offers free admission, Friday will feature From the Edge on stage starting at 8pm and Saturday will be the ATV Drag Race, Tractor Pull, Horse roping and pro wrestling.

Admission is only $5.00 per person, with kids 5 to 12 only $2.00, on the nights that are not free.  Fun Time Family Amusements will provide the carnival rides and games starting each night at 6pm.
