1st Annual Justice for Eva Walk

This past Sunday the Hope House of Scott County hosted their first Annual Justice for Eva walk at the Holston View Methodist Church in Weber City. The event was held to honor the memory of Eva Borders, who was killed on June 2nd, 2018 after her husband Jason Scott Borders, strangled her in their home in Weber City. After pleading guilty to the crime last October, Jason Borders was sentenced to life in prison.
Hoping to bring attention to this serious issue in current society and perhaps save lives, the event featured the walk in Eva’s memory, speeches, and a candlelight vigil. Food vendors were on hand, and domestic violence lapel pins and wristbands were available for those wishing to purchase, with all proceeds to benefit the Hope House of Scott County.
