112th Annual Lee County Fair Line Up For August 28, 2018

Today is the first day of the 112th Annual Lee County Fair that’s held at Leeman Field in Pennington Gap. Sponsored by the Pennington Gap Lions Club, this year’s Fair will last for five days with two free admission nights instead of the standard one day.
Exhibitors who enter 20+ items will receive a one day free pass to the Lee County Fair. Along with four main competitions in the Exhibit Barn will be a Table Setting Contest (with two age groups of 17 and under and 18 and over), Mr. Potato Head Contest, Giant Zucchini Contest and a Duct Tape Contest.
The Line up of events for this first day of the Fair begins at 10:00 a.m. when exhibitors will enter items in the barns.
Followed by this year’s Beauty Pageant sponsored by the Pennington Gap Women’’s Club in the categories of:
Wee Little Prince for 00-23 Months old
Wee Little Princess for 00-11 Months
Little Prince for ages 02-04 Years
Little Princess for ages 12-23 Months
Princess Contest for ages 02-04 Years
Little Miss for ages 05-07 Years
Pre-Teen Contest for ages 08-11 Years
Junior Miss Contest for ages 12-15 Years
Queen Contest for ages 16-22 Years
Then from 6:00 until 10:00 p.m. celebrate School Spirit Night in which all children wearing school colors get in free.
Admission costs at the gate today is $5 for adults, $2 for children age 05-12, children under 4 have free admittance.
Wednesday and Thursday are both free admittance days.
Friday and Saturday admittance at the gate is $10 for adults, $2 for children 05-12, and children under 4 get in free.
