106th Annual Virginia-Kentucky Fair

The 106th Annual Virginia-Kentucky Fair is in full swing this week with the Miss VA-KY District Scholarship Pageant at one end of the Shelcy Mullins Fairgrounds and the Auto World Demolition Derby located on the other side. Offering many fun things to do and interesting things to see, not to mention delicious food to eat.
Livestock exhibits are at the McDonald’s Farm exhibition hall, with crafts and winning agricultural displays. The fair also includes the Wee Baby Pageant, the Junior Pageant, Truck Drags, and Ricky Morton Pro Wrestling. SEBRA Bull Riding in the horse arena for rodeo lovers. Amber Graham, Chris Mullins and Logan Mize are the scheduled entertainers this year.
Admission cost is $10 for ages 18 and up, $5 for ages 5-17 and free admission for kids under 5. Fairgoers can also take advantage of some special deals this week, such as Kids Day Wednesday from 12-6pm with the fairgrounds opening at 11am. Ride specials will also be available on Wednesday and Saturday Kids Days. Don’t pass up the One Price rides for $20 on Saturday.
