This steady heavy rain has led to quite a bit of local flooding across Southwest Virginia with shelters opening because of mudslides, rockslides and impassable roads. With Flood Advisories issued for Lee, Scott, Wise, Dickenson, Letcher, Hancock counties and beyond. The waters have receded but caution is still advised when travelling.
